Hey Moron, You're Not John Daly!

Lazy people will use any excuse NOT to go to the gym.  I was browsing through one of the golf forums tonight and someone posted a question to the other readers about "what everyone was doing for their workouts."

There is always some idiot who blasts any physical training as "a waste of time" and tells everyone to "just go to the range and hit balls."  They always seem to bring up John Daly as the reason why training is unnecessary.  "Daly eats and drinks what he wants, and he never trains," is always their reason to never step inside a gym.

Hey Moron, You're Not John Daly!

Daly is one of the most talented guys out there, don't compare yourself to him. He's one of the exceptions.  In order to compete on a consistent level, most pros are doing some sort of training.  Even Davis Love III is training now, because he's knows if he wants to compete as he gets older, he needs to stay in shape.

You need to stay in shape as well, even if you are just a recreational golfer who plays on the weekends, just in the summer.   In Dr. Divot's Guide to Golf Injuries, Dr. Larry Foster (Dr. Divot) points out that  "During the golf swing, our muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments are stressed to near full capacity as we accelerate the clubhead to nearly 100 miles an hour in less than half a second.  In fact, the injury rate among recreational golfers is an astounding 60%- and even higher for golfers over 50."  If that doesn't convince you to stop making excuses, put down the bag of Doritos, turn off American Idol and get your FAT BUTT in shape for golf, I don't know what will.

Start a golf fitness program (or any fitness program) now and you will improve your game, reduce the chance for injury, enjoy playing (and life) much more and you might even get a date.

Check out this site, www.GolfFitnessProducts.net. There is a ton of info about golf fitness and lots of DVDs, Books, E-Books, Packages, Online Memberships and Equipment so you can start your training today.
